I was wondering if his hand problems can be fixed by surgery? I figured it couldnt but I haven't seen it really written or talked about. I know some folks get scared or nervous for surgery but wasn't sure if that was the case with Floyd.

Man how much more rediculous would Floyd be if he still had the ability to utilize his power, combos , and work rate
he possessed in his 20s but mixed with his Godly boxing skills?

Surgery cant correct his issues, Bones in the hand is brittle, once broken they are hard to get back to its normal state, he already retired once cause of his hand problems, plenty of older boxers I know that visit the gym from time to time cant even open their hands fully from the bone constantly breaking, it's a brutal sport....

Floyd hands where fine Saturday he showed his dormant power, and was hurting Canelo at will. Im starting to contemplate whether 147 and 8 oz gloves is killing his hands, because the power was there vs Cotto and Canelo

does he still get those shots in his hands? He'll probably have to deal with arthritis and not being able to open his hands/fingers fully without effort if not already, once he retires officially.

Most likely so, and please believe plenty of fighters get there hands numbed up before fights, although his critics instantly say xylocaine is legal in las vegas where he only fights and blah blah, there are plenty of other number agents out there where other states allow such as lidocaine and such

i was curious about this as well, good looking out on the info. i know a couple cats that do the trade and one has problems and one doesn't. I wasn't sure how random stuff like that was since Floyd's issue is made a big deal of in regards to what he uses and etc.

It wasnt even a big deal HBO did a interview with him and disclosed his hand issues and having to get a shot so he dont feel those contusions and breaks...................

Pac fans took a like 13 year old interview and ran away with it..............................

Xzylocane is in fact legal in every state with a doctors prescription.

hand surgery is tricky..im sure if he breaks his hands again..he'll prolly have to get some metal in it to stabilize the bones..i dislocated a bone in my wrist hitting the heavy bag last fall and the pain was unbelievable so im sure its a lot worse for him

Yeah I know with all the small bones its very difficult to have done.

I was mainly asking due yo Floyd's access to the best surgeons as well as advancement in medical technique since he hurt them originally if its something he could possibly get fixed and get be able to come back in a timely manner or if it would be something he might just have to wait till he's done fighting assuming of course he doesn't have a fear of surgery

I could definitely notice during the latter portions of the fight that Mayweather was favoring his hand... Not throwing the punch out there

I wish Floyd's hands weren't so bad so he could go for the knockout in some of these fights. Anyone know exactly how many times that he has broken his hand(s) anyway?

He could go for the knockout, but how fans laughed at him when he broke down crying after baldomir(after trying to take his head off with power punch after power punch) saying he was retiring cause of his hand issues, people called him all type of punk, bytches and such he just stop giving a damn
