Why doesn't Nicolino Locche get held in the same regards as Willie Pep and Sweet Pea and Floyd as far as having the all time greatest defense. Cause after looking at his highlights and fights that are on youtube I have to say he is the greatest defensive fighter I've seen. I've heard his name before from boxing experts but never have I heard or read about him being mentioned on the level of Pep or Sweet Pea as far as defense is concerned.

Just because not enough people know about him I think. His whole game was based on his defense because unlike floyd and Whitaker he was quite limited offensively.

His fight against Fuji for the world title was a masterpiece. Probably the greatest display of boxing on camera. :wow:

Sign up to BoxingScene.com forums. They have a private section that called Video Trading Block. It's a massive collection of fights. Go to the career thread and they have every recorded fight that's available for every fighter pretty much. Go download the Locche fights and :eat:

You have to sign up to view that section though. It's free.

I like how you disregard everything else I said.

being undefeated with the greatest offense and defense of all time is what makes you the goat

none of clowns you listed have all 3 of those requirements. so have a seat.

what the fukk are you talking about?:dahell:..do you even watch boxing outside of Floyd and Pacquiao? how about quality of opposition which is extremely important on how a career is viewed...this is why Floyd gets the shyt he gets from a lot of different people...and whether he cares about his own legacy or not he will take a hit on this when he's retired..pernell whitaker is the greatest defensive fighter ive seen during my time watching boxing....unlike Floyd pernell actually faced the best his era had to offer from the mid 80s to the late 90s..and while he doesn't have the amount of knockouts as Floyd you'd be hard pressed to find any knowledgeable boxing head who don't vividly remember him making prime fighters like azumah nelson, roger mayweather, JCC sr, Oscar, greg haugen, buddy mcgirt, jose luis Ramirez, Harold brazier, Julio cesar Vasquez look absolutely foolish

Are you gonna act like Whitaker wasnt getting his ass beat in the corner damn near sitting on the ropes and shyt by Tito, and lets not act like Roger Mayweather aint put Pernell on his ass and give his toughest match, pure war from start to finish

And I'm sick of hearing this benitez shyt, whatever agenda yall try to push with that one so a nikka that been stopped multiple times and have 8 losses is a better defender than Floyd right:demonic:

don't be stupid skip...what happened to whitaker against tito is what happens eventually to fighters nearing the end of their career and have had numerous fights against top opposition (plus have a drug problem) they get beat breh..you know this...that was prolly the first legit non controversial loss pernell suffered too

benitez well its hard to really place him..dude turned pro at 15 and was a prodigy no question but he was done by the time he was 25...too many hard fights and hard training since he was a kid did him in....but in those 4 ko losses he was stopped only once in his prime by SRR..the others were passed his prime although the moore KO loss was due to a broken ankle though

even on top of his locche's defensive ability he also had a chin....his lone ko loss was because of a cut...you had to have some pop to get him off his feet (that is if you could touch him)..I think he only went down 2-3 times in 136 fights...the funny thing with him it was all natural...dude was a habitual smoker and had really bad training habits...someone like that should have never even held a title let alone compete

only way Floyd would ever lose is if he fought somebody who could literally out box him and lose a decision.

He fights to cautious to get taking out, even if he gets caught with a good shot which he has in the past, he has a great chin which is never talked about, and adapts. Nobody is going to be able to land combinations on him, one shot isn't going to KO him.
