I remember a few weeks after 9/11 I had to catch a plane flight... I told them motherfukkers I need a seat up front by the cockpit....

I was like I'm not letting a crazy fukk anywhere near the pilots...
That's some suspicious ass shyt a terrorist would say.

I've been in that city at that very airport. It gets very, very cold over there. I wonder if that had something to do with the accident.

what kinda technology you think we got that makes it safe to crash into the ground at 400+ mph? :wtf:
Basically. Trust me when I say people there are a million and one safety features on planes these days. But at the same time, the room for error will never totally leave the picture. The plane could hit bad turbulence and a number of other things could happen that the pilot may or may not be trained on entirely.

Crashes on approach aren't as rare as some of you are making them out to be either. In fact, approaches and liftoff require the most action on the pilot's part and sometimes pilot error does lead to mishaps. Everything else is pretty much automated with minimal pilot input. Spend some time in a good flight simulator and you'll see what I mean.

6 Side.
to those that say airlines and aircraft manufacturers should do more improve the capability of preventing an airdiaster....there is almost an infinite amount of ways an aircraft can crash that no single measure can eliminate the entire risk of air disasters.

For example. If the aircraft loses its elevator or rudder which control pitch and longitudinal movements respectively, the airplane is pretty much done. No technology can stop a plane from free-falling from the sky into the ground in such extreme situations (and such instances have happened in the past).

the other element is the science and cost. Aerodynamically, its not feasible. Think about the number of aircraft that are in the air on any given day. We're talking hundreds of thousands. So to equip every single aircraft with protective measures would a) not make any sense b) cost airlines millions of dollars in both expenses and loss of revenue.

In regards to this specific accident, i think 2 events could be likely: microburst at low altitude combined with pilot disoritentation = uncontrollable dive, loss of control and impact into the ground.

Last year in my flight to Japan, I was pretty much cool the entire time. I thought I'd be scared but once I was up in the air it was pretty fun. I did feel a little :lupe: when the plane started hittin turbulence and felt like a NYC Path Train.

One would think they would of worked on plane technology to where it would be more resistant against crashes by now.

Woudlnt be surprised they slacked on it because they were too focused on making money.
Either the materials needed to make it light and super strong are too damn expensive, or the materials needed to strengthen the plane are too heavy.

Damn, with all this technology now you'd think shyt like this would be a thing of the past.

We have went into space already. Enough with the excuses

:what: what does this even mean? :heh:

Tech is advancing. No more excuses

But a shuttle can crash too

The kinda techonology that prevents a plane from crashing into the ground at 400+ mph. :stopitslime:

Even more reason to work on crash resistant tech
