Flying Lotus is set to direct and score a new film.

After soundtracking LeSean Thomas and Takeshi Satou's Yasuke, a six-part anime series released via Netflix last year, the Grammy award-winning artist has announced plans to score and direct a new sci-fi horror film, titled Ash.

The film, announced on 26th January, is the follow up to Flying Lotus’ 2017 film debut Kuso, and will be produced alongside XYZ Films and GFC Films.

The plot of Ash, which is based on a play, centres on a woman working on a space station who wakes up alone to find her crew murdered, Deadline reports.

“I’ve a strong desire to innovate in the sci-fi space,” FlyLo told Deadline, “and I really want to show the world something they’ve never seen before.”

Kuso was weak as hell, felt like they purposely made it bad so they could hide behind "we weren't really trying, just made it to piss people off"

Insecure edginess, I didn't respect it.

Hopefully he actually tries for real here

Downloaded that Yasuke soundtrack and was :scust:

At this point I'm just hoping breh isn't washed, I know he's always gonna be dope with his OG style, but everyone can't be like madlib and actually be fire in multiple styles like that
