In a vacuum I think the Geno pickup is fine cause it cost them nothing. It's the plan that I'm not a fan of. It seems like the objective is to win 7 games next year... if that's the case, what's the point? I get Glenn probably wouldn't survive another 3 win season but you're right back at square one this time in 2027. No long term solution at QB, non playoff team.... it's like if Mougey was playing Madden he'd simulate this upcoming season if he could

A black head coach can't tank consecutive years. Glenn did what he needed to do year 1 which was get them in position to take their franchise QB. Dante Moore had other plans so now he needs to win games to stay employed.
Y'all tell the coach to tank the season and simultaneously call him trash as they're losing. Now if they go 7-10 he's not doing his job but even if he goes 3-14, gets the franchise QB, then doesn't immediately make the playoffs the next season he gets canned. Glenn takes over a terrible situation, fixes it, but doesn't get to stick around to get the glory. His legacy will be that of a bad coach and he'll never get another opportunity. I hope they win at least 7 games so we don't have another black coach getting let go.
If you're going to tank do it with a lame duck coach so you can let him go and bring in someone new when you draft your QB. You don't ask a new coach to sacrifice his career.
They accumulated all those 1sts so they're in position to trade up in next year's draft. They don't have to tank. Maybe ask the GM to actually do their and find a QB outside of the top 5 picks or even day 2 or 3. Lamar, Dak, Russ, Love, Brady, and Mahomes didn't go #1. Hell the Jets could've had Patrick or Watson but took Jamal Adams. The next year they took Darnold 3rd and Lamar went 32nd. All those fanbases complaining about not having pick 1 for a QB are bozos. Bears fans did that but they took Trubisky over Patrick
