Part of what made Foams so unique was the original royal blue cw that perfectly matched the magics uniform and penny's goat level logo ofcourse added to it.....The bred cw would have been dope w/ the classic bulls uniforms but I doubt it would have hit the same as the royal's....Plus if i remember correctly they didn't make a ton of them back then do to the material or some shxt, them shxts where like $200 too back then....I know they where big out here in the DMV and this was the jackin era so you would legit get got if you wasn't on your p's....But yeahh they really didn't get popular until the 2010's when nike rolled them back out, but most the cw's where trash except for a couple and hypebeast of course ruined them....

Pippen had a dope run of his own sneakers though that where more popular at the time anyways....I remember the uptempo ones being in george of the jungle...

Just fit better with Penny imo. I really wish they had been Kobe’s shoes tho. Those are the two things I would’ve done different in his shoes. I woulda took the He Got Game role and I woulda signed with Nike out the gate.

The EQT and Top Ten sneakers Kobe wore were fine. Both KB8s. The Kobe 1s were fine. If cats praising Filas I don't see how Kobe's Adidas run is bad.

Penny was newer and hotter but game/aesthetic there was no real difference. I don't know why Kobe chose Adidas over Nike but he wasn't gonna stop training to film a movie. Especially since the filming was done in 97 after the 4 airballs in Utah.

Nike had Jordan and a slew of other 90s legends tho so it wouldn’t have been a crazy move if Kobe signed with them. And Spike a legend so starring in a role opposite Denzel who’s another legend would’ve been another boost in profile.

Besides, it’s not like Kobe was on 2000s level by 98 he still had to develop more as a player so splitting time between training and filming wouldn’t have been a major setback in his trajectory. He would’ve still been that same different maker by the 2000s.

lol these are all hypotheticals and I’m just saying what I would’ve done. Kobe did what he thought was best and it worked out.
