he struggled to cut, the camera stopped, there were two different knives, and two different masked men. this was known pretty much immediately since the video does a poor job of hiding it. to me it looks like the british goofball just couldnt get it done in an intimidating enough manner so somebody more competent with a better knife stepped in, then once it was done they brought that british goofball back out to finish the remarks.

it could have been premeditated.

just the thought of dude getting beheaded with a steak knife is considerably more gut-wrenching than if they pulled out a Scimitar and chopped Foley's head off with one swipe.
