White people and casseroles. I mean it was kind of a necessity in war times when you had to be creative with limited options, but come on, times weren't that hard in the 70's and 80's. I grew up dirt poor in the Bricks and still moms had a pretty good spread on Sunday nights.
I love Mayonaise and I'm blacker than most of y'all on here (Nigerian and West Indian).
I can't deny how piff mayo is...on burgers, or subs (or heros as they are referred to here in New York City)...it's like the icing on the cake of life!

A little mayo is cool here and there (I prefer Miracle Whip) but to slather it on everything is disgusting.
this is why when white folks up here invite me to a potluck, i go to popeyes before, so i don't have to try none of their nasty fukking shyt. they literally fukked up my thanksgiving and christmas dinners with all the kale and spinach they served 
When I have a burger, I have to put mayo on it...the taste goes perfectly with the cheese and beef

It's really not much different from a rootbeer float.
It's clearly not "good for you", but if you want a sweet treat that isn't going to make you feel like you've saturated your blood in sugar, it's a good alternative to most desserts.
