Honestly this looks like a conflict of interest. The AAF was never billed or promoted as a developmental league when it was originally introduced to us, but it looks like the new investor wants it to be.
The reality is that the league would be fine as a place for undrafted players or players who fizzled out in the league so they can showcase their talents in a game setting and potentially get picked up somewhere else. They don't necessarily need to be a place for young NFL players who are riding the pine to play and then get called up.
He basically is trying to turn the league into minor league football
