I have to kind of agree. As a longtime Infiniti driver, with the exception of the new coupe, Infiniti has hustled backwards on a lot of their designs. I'm still holding on to my 2012 M56x for this reason.
the back of the M56x is damn near identical with the Q50 :russ:

That's whats crazy, like I still do double takes since Infinitis are pretty popular in my neighborhood. Like they need to just scrap the whole line outside the QX60 and just start over.

I remember when I bought the 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe fresh outta college. First year out. One of the first to get one in the country.

Had people stopping me to ask me what was it and how much I paid for it.

That car brought the dying sports coupe back from the grave. Before the G35 everyone had been half assing entry level luxury sports coupes with the exception of BMW (and maybe Acura's integra). The A5, CTS Coupe, Mercedes actually taking a C class coupe seriously for once....all thank to Infiniti.

Infiniti hasn't released one game changing car since then.

the g35 was just the rebranded nissan skyline (aka the V35 in japan). nissan been had the game on lock before that since the r32. americans were just too sheltered and it took a fast and furious movie to shed light.
i know you're talking about the non GT-R versions (entry level joints) but to say they haven't released anything game changing is inaccurate.

they haven't released a game changing car since the r35; so about 10 years ago. give them some time. When they do clap back they will make another huge impact. engineering a game changing vehicle takes a lot of time and money.

the new q60s coupe is nice though and IMO looks better than the previous gen coupe. i seen a couple around here.

Lexus IMO is on front street now for this generation with the RC-F and the LC500.

I know the history of the car and it's Skyline routes. I did plenty of research before buying one. I had a deposit on the G35 coupe a year before it dropped and was an obsessive member of G35driver.com.

The Q60 is nice but it doesn't have the impact that the G35 had. The G35 sedan and then coupe made waves in the industry back in 2002. No one is talking about Infiniti anymore.

I hope you're right with them having a hit soon but i doubt it. Look at their design language. It's getting worse and worse.

I'm shopping for a new car right now and none of their models are on my top 10 list.

NEW ERA
I disagree with this thread. I think their styling far exceeds Acura and Lexus, imo. Never owned an Infiniti but I've been a fan since the G20. And as someone said before, the G35 was a definitive game changer.

You act like most people care. This is some online YouTube comment stuff tbh. Someone at my gym has that new q60 and everybody likes that thing ain't nobody like dang fam the interior old. Its also like that with the ghibli. Cats online say its wack but in the streets you don't hear none of that. I do agree they ok for what they are.
you get what you pay for, why people expecting a 60K interior for a 40K car is beyond my understanding.
Q50 start at 35K and Q60 start at 38K.

the number one selling car does NOT have a better interior than any infiniti....Toyota Corolla.
So when someone moves up to a "luxury" car, they are going to be easily impressed. Which describes the average consumer.
