You cant replicate what they have, the model they have has been in the league for a while, they aren't new. :yeshrug:

Hinkie drafted Embiid, he's forever good money off that alone :wow:

He did whiff on not drafting Kristaps though :whoa:
Like @Regular_P said, he got lucky because the Cavs/Bucks were put off with Embiid's injury concerns. If Embiid was healthy we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The Bucks could have drafted him too :wow:

Hinkie's biggest mistake was not drafting Kristaps or Giannis, I know you're not a fan of the tank tactic but I love it :noah: Look at all the picks they have thanks to Hinkie, 2 other lottery picks this year from the Kings/Lakers in addition to their own.

Warriors happened to luck up into a perfect and unique position that has allowed them to put together the roster they have. Its not simply a matter of drafting well.

Giannis/Embiid would've run the East for years. :wow:

What gave you that impression? I believe in complete rebuilds, I was only critical of Hinkie's approach because he didn't execute it properly from the start (while having a # of missteps along the way). They should be ahead of where they're currently at now.

Well they got Steph on a hilariously cheap contract because of his ankle problems...

They were then able to use that money that they didn't pay Steph to pretty much pay Iggy, who has been an integral part of that team...

And there are only two reasons why they were able to sign durant...how little they were paying steph...and the explosion of cap space...

So...no...the warriors are not the prototype...because that entire team is really built around the fact that they got steph for ultra cheap and he more than panned out as a player, and the explosion in salary cap allowed them the room to sign another gawd tier player like KD...those two things are not going to happen again for another franchise...

3 of our 4 best players was drafted by the organization. Can't say that about any other superteam that ever existed.
