I ask why hasn’t God spoken to anyone in so long to write a contemporary book to add to the Bible? Seems real convenient because information is more readily available and said person would be questioned and scrutinized. Might be labeled as insane. There's a perfectly good explanation in the bible for dinosaurs. They were killed off in the flood.

Throughout the existence of human beings, the belief and need for a god has decreased.
We used to say god was responsible for the sun, moon, seasons, rain, weather, tides, earthquakes, etc.

Then as our understanding of science grew, those things were explained and the need for god decreased.

This pattern will continue.

In time, we will solve problems like cancer and AIDS. We will slow down the aging process. We will visit other planets. We will progress and the need for a god will continue to fade away.

Eventually, god will be confined to history books and the imagination of people that cling on to a previous lifestyle that is outdated.
