God created evolution :yeshrug:
God created evolution :yeshrug:
:yeshrug:

but your Bible doesn’t mention Dinosaurs
and it starts off by saying God created man in his image

so,
How Sway … How Sway …

:yeshrug:
I went to a parochial school from K-8. I asked about dinosaurs in religion class because I was genuinely curious. I was a dino stan and we JUST was talking about them in science class a hour previously

Sister Anne was :unimpressed: and ignored me :wow:

evolution is proven; supernatural things are proposed and even believed but certainly not proven. the premise of this thread needs a lot of work before it becomes useful for discourse and discovery.

Supernatrual type shyt is definitely proven…just not proven to science. Some shyt you simply cant measure and shyt. Some people will say, well because science told me this how the world work and it don’t fit in they rules, it has to be explained away as not real. Then others say, I trust myself or my own experiences over “science” Science is not the end be all to anything, it’s just humans trying to figure out the world

it's not proven to me. if it isnt proven to others, then a discussion with people who didnt experience it firsthand is kinda going nowhere if the other person is not willing to just start believing it :yeshrug:

This my point. I would consider those people close minded. They don’t necessarily have to believe in it, but to completely dismiss the very possibility because of scientific standards would be silly. Science has its place but not the ultimate authority on nothing. Your individual experience is. Science can measure other shyt, but not things like spirituality. Most times it come down to a fundamental difference of beliefs in these discussion and they never really get far. One side usually just dismissing the other. I believe in evolution. But science would write off any of my and anyone else’s spiritual/metaphysical experiences as hallucinations or something of that sort. That’s cause it don’t fit in the little boxes they use to make sense of the world.

there is a difference between dismissal and entertaining an idea. i entertain some ideas that i dont actually believe as long as they are not totally disproven. scientific minded people can be open minded - that is how new technology keeps coming. if science was closed minded, it would not be the biggest force in technological and medical advancement that it is today.

but either way, some degree of objective evidence is the bridge between people who are not already inclined to agree. without that bridge, you get mental masturbation.

also, there are philosophical people and they have some degree of rigour to what they study and believe as well, because ultimately, meaningful discourse needs bridges between the participants.
