People have tried to approximate and make sense of the world since ever (predating current Church or religions) by what they can observe (see, hear, smell, taste, touch) and invented big creatures to explain its reasons. science is just humans working with their senses. we are currently limited by our senses, our level of technology, our brain capacity and brain anatomy, and in how many spatial dimensions we can perceive or interact with. certainly there are things we cant explain and there are things we dont know even exist. that includes in our universe and in a possible multiverse
