Correct me if I'm wrong, but I say that America has the most progressive blk folks because USA is pretty much the only place I've seen black folks represented in all areas of life, from the president to mayors, governors, doctors, scientists, astronauts, middle class to upper class neighborhoods, etc. I know black folks in America have a longer history of being here compared to Europe. and only recently have blk folks in Europe been making strides...much of their inspiration comes from Black America and Black American movements

Blk America has also pioneered a lot of Black movements and inspired others...from Brazil to Kwame Nkrumah, the former president of Ghana, changed his views after attending an HBCU and became more of a pan-Africanist

I'm all ears... brother. multiculturalism...idk breh... I still see black folks confined to certain areas/sectors in Europe--Portugal-they're mostly cleaners. Italy don't want them. Met a black Girl from Germany and told me she has never seen a blk teacher.

We really have it good here as Americans and I worked really hard to enjoy what we got, so most likely wouldn’t leave.

If we did though?

Oceania. It’s Europe but with cleaner air, more tropical and less drama. Also a STEM powerhouse.

During Spring/Summer 10AM-12PM is my favorite part of the day and Oceania got that on lock.

I think about this daily.

Caribbean - For me, moved up in the ranks, because the US moved down in the ranks in terms of Hurricanes. But those people move to the States/Canada/UK/EU for a reason.

Latin America - Food, Women, could learn the language - not sure what type of work I could do, or what sort of future I would have.

East Asia - namely Tokyo/HK - Couldn't do it forever. China is the future?

SEA - SGN/BKK/MNL/SGP/SIN - I haven't been to Singapore, but I think i'd need to make a grip. The others I could possibly swing on a digital nomad salary. I liked them well enough (much like South America) - but my vibes from meeting the (s)expats there was you needed to spend decades in the cold of Europe to tolerate the constant heat and humidity.

Middle East/North Africa - Hell and No. I'd have to make powerball money to live in UAE, and even then...

West/Central/East/South Africa - I already feel like a stranger in a strange land. I got peeps that made the jump, but to live like a Westerner is to live Expensive.

Europe - Only London/Paris/Berlin/Amsterdam really stick out to me as livable, possibly Barca/Lisboa...but I really feel that I'd be hustling backwards if I left the US for Europe.

If I had to leave,

1. T.Dot
2. London (major assumption, never been)
3. Kingston
4. Salvador
5. BKK
6. Saigon

And none of those are great options to me. If they were great, I'd be trying to there now.

I am a proud son of Jamaica. My family holds passports in both countries, and are able to take advantage of the North American economies.
