For Americans, is there anything that would make you leave the country? And if so where would you go?

Ignoramous.

I am a proud son of Jamaica. My family holds passports in both countries, and are able to take advantage of the North American economies.

Which section 8 housing and flip phone are you messaging me from?

I can smell the black and milds through the screen coming from your musty mouth.

You probably never have this kind of energy for yt people eh? You probably stutter around them. However, you got your chest out for Black immigrants :mjlol:

Pathetic.

I ask for the third time, which country are you fleeing to in order to become a tether?

Live your own life
What country would you go to, and how long do you expect that 500k to last you?
Ghana or Namibia are countries of my interests. If I ever save up to 500k, I can stretch my money for years in an investment vehicle that can produce 10-15 percent interests annually. I can live of that.

:jbhmm:.. You think so? I visited many European countries and cities... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I say that America has the most progressive blk folks because USA is pretty much the only place I've seen black folks represented in all areas of life, from the president to mayors, governors, doctors, scientists, astronauts, middle class to upper class neighborhoods, etc. I know black folks in America have a longer history of being here compared to Europe. and only recently have blk folks in Europe been making strides...much of their inspiration comes from Black America and Black American movements

Blk America has also pioneered a lot of Black movements and inspired others...from Brazil to Kwame Nkrumah, the former president of Ghana, changed his views after attending an HBCU and became more of a pan-Africanist

I'm all ears... brother. multiculturalism...idk breh... I still see black folks confined to certain areas/sectors in Europe--Portugal-they're mostly cleaners. Italy don't want them. Met a black Girl from Germany and told me she has never seen a blk teacher.

Yeah Europeans don't have dreams of being millionaires like Americans. They definitely PAWG more out there. That's a fact
They do view sexuality differently...probably cuz prostitution is legal :mjlol:
Africa is formed with black folks from all parts of life. It's just that the income disparity there is massive. As an Americans africans won't give you access towards exploiting their economy. You also won't know how to navigate the system. Lots of corruption, etc. But yes with a 150k USD per year you can live like a king out there. It depends what you are willing to tolerate.

yes. im not tied to a country. i know who I and who my people are. my first responsibility is to my family and ensuring they are safe and comfortable. i'm not interested in them experiencing any hardship.

part of my family's story is the underground railroad. abolitionist and escaped slaves abound amongst my ancestors. their stories converged in lower ontario canada where they built their own communities to be safe havens for those looking for freedom.

my line eventually came back into the country settling in detroit and chicago, however, my grandmother and her siblings all still have dual citizenship and we still have extended family in a string of ontario communities right outside detroit.

we even go back every year for the buxton ontario homecoming.

my siblings and i are in the process of purchasing land in ontario north of sault ste. marie, on the shores of lake superior to build a cottage/hunting lodge for us. but it will double as a refuge for our family if we have to get out of the country.

we're looking on lake superior specifically because if roads shut down, we can get out of chicago into canada by boat, up lake michigan where you enter into lake superior.

Cool story.

I have definitely thought about a back up plan. I don't plan to leave unless something devastating happens, all out totalitarianism, or Black folks lose citizenship rights, etc.

I just am not sold on running to Europe. I know there are a lot of Blacks in Europe and I know Black folks from the US who have left for France, Portugal, Benelux countries and love their life. But I just don't feel the political center and economic stability can hold long term in Europe and running from one group of White folks to another seems more like treading water than progress.

I am looking closer at the Caribbean though it is expensive. I know enough Spanish and Portuguese to get by in South America too.

We really have it good here as Americans and I worked really hard to enjoy what we got, so most likely wouldn’t leave.

If we did though?

Oceania. It’s Europe but with cleaner air, more tropical and less drama. Also a STEM powerhouse.

During Spring/Summer 10AM-12PM is my favorite part of the day and Oceania got that on lock.

I mean I haven't focused on anything but north Caribbean it would be Bahamas or T&C - the cons are cost of living is pretty expensive in Nassau and T&C but Bahamas as some nice places on the other islands like Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Exuma, Abaco, etc. too that are more cost effective just a bit more remote (except for Freeport on Grand Bahama).

Jamaica is out given safety issues. Besides that southern Caribbean I would look at non T&T islands like Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, the ABC islands etc. Again, cost of living isn't necessarily a steal there.

I personally know Black expats in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama so I would check those out to round it out.

Personally , I think natural disasters are a legitimate reason to leave. We have one of the only 4 active super volcanoes on Earth right in the middle of our country . If Yellowstone goes off, that'll be the end of this country's story like pompei. It's reasonable to assume that an eruption of that magnitude is going to trigger California also. Might be a wrap for North America as a concept because the ash will blanket both Canada and Mexico. I don't think the East Coast cities could handle all the refugees.

We might be in a strange scenario where Hawaii and Alaska are the only two habitable States because of how far away they are from the mainland.:pachaha:
