Goldberg should've never faced Rock in his FIRST MATCH. They should've known the WWF fans were going to side with The Rock and boo Goldberg and first impressions are key. Their was no problem with how he debuted spearing Rock to end Raw but The Rock should've went to hollywood and left and never had the match with Goldberg. Have Goldberg go on a little win streak then beat HHH for the title THEN have Rock comeback and face Goldberg.
Rock was the perfect intro opponent for Goldberg :dahell:

Hunter was hurt going into that chamber. He said in an interview that they felt it'd be better for Goldberg to go over Hunter in a one on one situation which he did.
:childplease: HHH has always been about HHH, especially during his "peak" ain't shyt changed. that performance by Goldberg, plus winning the belt that night would have been special. instead HHH wanted to continue his 80s Flair cosplay rountine

No because Goldberg was going to get booed. You're booking Goldberg to be a huge babyface champ you don't book him against an opponent where he will get booed

No one could control or have predicted that, and its not like he was getting a Reigns reaction. It was 50/50 at worst. The Rock was the biggest match on the table, no other matches available could have touched that one.
