Keeping this as simple as possible,

You need hair on your head. Like 4 weeks worth.

Get a brush that's tougher than your hair.

Brush a lot. Stop when it hurts and start up the next day.

You don't need any creams, lotions, pomades or do rags.

Just brush and remember how your brushing (the directions) and repeat until desired style is achieved.

This is the first time I've ever heard anyone say no pomades or du - rag necessary .... :ohhh: ...

Any rebuttals out there.. :patrice:

You don't NEED it, but moisture does help, even if its just water. I ain't been heavy in the wave game in a minute, but using Lusters Pink used to have me spinnin lovely

I do think you need a durag or some kind of stocking cap...how else you gonna train your hair to lay down in a wave pattern?

I got in the wave game when I started seeing deforestation in the middle of my scalp....should I pour out some liquor for my du rag. :patrice:

Hoping I could somehow force the waves to a Combover like Donald Trump, except call it a Tsunami Over... :ehh:

...but I guess not .. :to:

Moisture is "cool" but it messes up your brush as the bristles become soft. That's why I put it in the category of "not needed".

You think it's the rag training your hair and not the brush? The brush does all the work. The rag is nothing more than a fashion accessory. Look at it like this. If you only had one item to choose, a brush or a rag, to get waves which one are you going with?

Ask yourself, What does this do for my hair as far as getting waves? Absolutely nothing.

Well everybody's hair is different. I know me personally I wash washing my hair damn near everyday even though people said it would mess up your waves. :manny:

...by being natural. :sas2:
but in the event that you don't have "natural" waves, a durag might just help :mjpls:

using both in conjuction will help get waves breh. Waves ain't nothing but extremely curly hair trained to lay down on its side so that the natural curl forms a pattern. Your brush does the main work, and the durag just helps to train/reinforce your pattern. LOL at a durag being nothing more than a fashion accessory :pachaha:
