This is the first time I've ever heard anyone say no pomades or du - rag necessary .... ...

I stopped using pomades years ago, went like 7 months only using water, all that extra stuff might help with shine, but no it's not needed du rag isnt either, but can help you not lose progress as you are trying to get them, but for me once I got waves you dont really need anything your hair is trained to grow like that and it will. but all the extra stuff will enhance what you have making them look a lil better, if you have healthy hair it will already have a shine to it....

In retrospect, that sounds so stupid. How the hell are you supposed to shower and not wash your head just for some waves? That's right up there with clowns putting egg in their heads. Dumb s h i t advice.


No one in the history of ever woke up, took off the rag and just went about their business. You always brush again in the morning so do you need the rag? No. You don't NEED it at all.

I always just take the rag off, if i take a brush to it it makes it look worse

I dont use any hair grese or non that shyt just shampoo and water comb then use soft brush in shower and that shyt works.

i say dont brush your hair too much because you'll cause it to thin out. And dont wash your hair everyday. Maybe every other day or 3 days. Wet your hair a bit and brush it on the in between days then throw the du on. You only have to grease it every few days. And its so perfect to grow it out and use the hair brush, so when you get a cut...Rick Flair!

Eventually you wont even have to sleep with the durag; the waves will be ingrained.

I went back from the hi top to a normal fade like T.I. and im tryna get my waves happening just on the top tho.

I had em back when I was like 18 but now I can't get em!
