HOWEVER,

Big was deff a better lyricist. Point blank, Ross is good lyricist, Big was a great lyricist


When its all set and done I don't who will be "better" that is subjective but as it stands now B.I.G. has that crown. Ross is almost doing a big rendition.

The only similarities I see are their stomachs. Ross is smooth, BIG was grimy. Of course BIG was better, he's the GOAT, bvut Ross is good in his own lane. I don't get how they can be compared. The game was different, the beats were different.

big was a "great lyricist" only because he came in a period when lyricism was suddenly evolving from the simple rhyme schemes dominating the hip-hop scene. when it came to complexity of delivery, rakim was an exception, not the rule. so, that's why biggie gets a pass. but we're well past that stage, and ross is definitely more than comparable to big. for every big song you can name by biggie, i can put up a ross single that meets it toe for toe.

no disrspect to big. he's a legend, but let's get some perspective.

I enjoy Rick Ross' music, less now than before but in his prime he was a good lyricist with an ILL flow. Similarities between the two can be drawn without a doubt but you have to be cot damn delusional if you think he is a better emce, artist whatever. Ross is inferior to big in every aspect of rap, not even hating, i'd like to hear some arguements, but objectively speaking I can't see anyone prove me otherwise

Ross beat selection is great but that's hella subjective, let's not act like big was on some dusty shyt back then. He had Diddy & The-Hitmen as well as all the top producers working for him on LAD.

Their last resort is that bigs category is limited I honestly couldn't care less bout that shyt, if ross now, soon to be six albums in hasn't had a better album than either one of big's two albums why the fukk would I rank him over big? Dumbass logic, quality over quantity

this makes no sense whatsoever biggie had everything u could want a in rapper as far as complexity goes they had flows rhymes hooks etc so in other words when rakim time was up and biggie nas pac came around rakim could co exist with biggie
because he still was great lyrically even though he wasn't alot of records like biggie.

Yea he could tell a story better than most, but he was no god emcee. Thats yalls nostalgia talkin. If Big was alive he and Ross would pobably have a track or two together by now and Ross wouldve held his own just like he did with Jay, Nas, Jada, G Rap, and Raekwon. Was Big light years ahead of those guys too? Im a fan of Big, but some of yall are delusional about his rapping ability
