How much research did you conduct on engagement rings and things of that nature before popping the question

Were there any websites that you used as resources

yes I know that, how much do you plan on spending, are you paying cash or financing, and how long have the 2 of you been together

do extensive research and have a budget in mind.

and i wouldn't recommend financing, don't buy something you can't afford.

have a budget and stick to it. dont go with your girl to pick it out. unless she is a waste of life she wont be upset if its not a $35,000 pink diamond or whatever. clarity is a little overrated. i was shown 2 identical rings, one double the price of the other because of clarity but it looked exactly the same in the light and out of it :comeon:

your first post says "how much research?" so i answered "extensive."

i'm just being polite since this is about the 3rd of 4th engagement ring thread you've made in the last 6 months (of course between all the threads about you fighting and breaking up w your gf).

don't be sarcastic when i give you a basic answer to the basic question you've already asked multiple times :leostare:.

First, I made for certain she was about "that life". Then, I researched online, walked around lesser known spots (not pawn shops, but spots that has some reputation) and talked to people as well...

All I knew was I wanted quality over quantity (so fukk Zales and Kay, no offense, but them bytches be having low-quality "chips" and not stones) and the ability to purchase the stone and ring separately (in some cases, its cheaper; for me, it was)

Luck would have it, I made my way to a reputable establishment and luck was on my side furthermore bc the store was having their year end sale. Plus, they had a year of 0%:ohlawd:. Made it pretty easy.

The saleslady was damn good..... too good.

At the time, My budget was small. I looked around quite a few places but Ironically I ended finding the best deals on Overstock.com. I was kind of skeptical buying an engagement ring online but it worked out.

I would recommend going alone because you dont wanna be swayed by a female opinion. If you are far enough into a relationship that you are getin married she must have dropped hints about what she generally wants. Also its impossible for females to keep quiet about these matters so it would be better if only you know.
