So you're comparing one skill that is required of women to "manly things" that could mean different things to different people.

Sounds reasonable :aicmon:

It was a simple question..list "manly skills" that you have? However you choose to interpret it.. Some of y'all are acting hurt by this question :manny:

I've been taking cooking classes and am pretty handy in that if it doesn't require removing the head or dropping the transmission I can fix most car problems. I've also built several computers and fixed many more. Growing up I'd also help my father fix a lot of house related problems.

My girlfriend at 17 cooked for me and she was pretty good at it so I hope my wife would be able to.

I can cook for myself, but I be damn if I marry a woman that can't cook.:rudy:

What if we have kids and she can't cook for her kids. :wtf: That shyt goes against the rules of nature. Every species of animals females feed their offsprings.

So how is a damn woman not going to be able to cook for her kids. :mindblown:

Some of these women think that you can make kids strong by feeding them fast food every night :bryan:

shyt like that makes the new family structure and values a joke.

I understand this perspective of things, but my mom and dad always stressed the importance of learning how to cook to me for this reason:

You never know what will happen in life. If something happens to the mother of your children (whether death, sickness, or even business), what are they going to eat? I think it's important for men to know how to cook to sustain themselves and their families.

True story.

Guy I know had a wife who stayed at home with their son. She did all the household things (cooked, cleaned, etc.)

She died in a car accident last month.

Now a grown man has to learn how to feed himself and a kid and (admittedly) can barely use the microwave.

luckily for me, as a teen i used to work in a dept store as a shipping clerk/handyman so i actually learned a thing or two working there.

i don't even are that much if a girl is the best cook in the world or not. I'm the type of dude where as long as i see an honest effort to learn and practice, and as long as it's made with love, i'm happy (it's the bytch in me...)

I'm up in the kitchen right now makin' a fresh stromboli and cheese sticks, all from scratch. :steviej: shyt was bangin' last night, so I just decided to use the rest of the dough. I don't see how people don't like cookin'. It's so much fun :ohlawd:

:wow: That's horrible, damn. That's why you have to build those cooking skills up when you're young.

I'm a good cook my self so I'm ok but my wife, is Black, Puerto Rican and Philipino, so I'm :eat:. I fix any tech related problem and I bring home the lion's share of the bacon. So it's not unreasonable for me to ask my wife to cook and wash dishes, since I hire a maid to do the heavy cleaning.
