No VP yet almost every VP is announced right before the convention. He’s right on time.
Serious questions about his health yet the incumbent is an obese 74 year old man with horrible eating and sleeping habits, has been in and out of Walter Reed repeatedly over the past few years, and has multiple public instances of word slurring and mental incapacity of telling the truth.
Bad strategy yet he’s been up in the polls on Trump since March.
Sounds like the same arguments people were making back in January.
Dap for actually addressing the talking points we're actually discussing in this thread
As for your first point, yeah you can certainly say he's just being traditional and following the regular model, but with Covid, he's a month behind where Hillary was. Thats an extra month of massive media exposure, exposure for his VP to gain voters, etc. Its wasted opportunity, which is how I refer to his campaign (so far). Thats a missed month of having an extra public figure campaigning for you. The Biden campaign is putting all its eggs into a "blitz" campaign to overload voters with Biden Biden Biden. I think that might work, but its just that he's wasting time right now.
As for the health point. Trump is deranged, has NPD, etc. We know all that, no one is denying any of that. What is actually happening with Biden is that people are completely dismissing health issues that MIGHT actually be straight up disqualifying. If he has dementia like the rumor mills say, then you lose your argument. Biden hiding out in his basement isn't helping him and its furthering the rumors. When theres rumors that he's talking to his dead parent and child, theres certainly room for pause. Again, this doesnt take anything away from Trump's own issues. Its just ignoring some potentially serious issues that Joe might have.
Polls - Trump's loss is certainly Joe's gain. Can't argue that. But is Joe "winning" those votes or is Trump just giving them away? If its the latter, then Trump can get them back, no? I think it's a bit of both, which is why i keep calling out Joe's campaign for blowing it, because they can be fully converting all those voters instead of hoping they stick around if Trump stays being a bad man.
If its the same arguments are being made months later then that just tells me Joe hasn't done anything to dead rumors or address x, y, z.
