SO we are only talking movies, software ect are excluded?

But like I said that was a quick search, and an old article, just pointing out that nikkas do get caught up in this piracy thing, and its foolish to tell people dont worry nobody ever really gets caught

find me a link of an individual getting sued and prosecuted for movies

you gonna be searching all night :manny:

The first part of my post asked if you were only talking about movies, and your original statement said and I quote "not one single person has ever been prosecuted for "getting" something off of the internet" my original link was to say hey people do get caught for this, so dont be telling my Coli bros that aint shyt gonna happen when it has happened before. We dont know what they have up there sleeves.

And, no, I not going to be searching for anything what you just did was a classic example of

but the thread is about movies

and the music industry was settling not prosecuting.... from your own link.. I didnt feel the need to go back to that point?? They all got charged for hundreds of thousands but if you even read the article YOU posted it would say they settle for average of $3000...

oh and the reason that article is from 2004 is cause they havnt even been bringing people to trial.. imagine getting only $3000 outta 400 people but suing them for millions?? Thats a waste of time :camby:

They have to legally send you an email, doesnt mean anything will ever come of it... as far as I know only AT&T U-Verse is the only internet provider that does not LEGALLY have to send you an email when you "get" something off a torrent.

ways to avoid this:
Dont upload when your done..

also

Every one here FULLY understands that not one single person has ever been prosecuted for "getting" something off of the internet.. right ?? This should be understood by now... only companies(like megaupload) and people mass uploading these files to the interneth ave ever been prosecuted/caught.

I mean, we are almost into 2014.. I fully expect everyone to already know this?? but just incase, now you know..

I know that no single person has been prosecuted, my lady got all nervous because she doesn't know about torrents, I made the mistake of leaving Vuze open for most of the day. We recently switched to Google fiber and I've been downloading shyt at a rapid rate so I am guessing that drew the red flag. I appreciate you posting the legal information because I wasn't sure if a company needed to send notice.

Mah nikka. :salute:

Didn't know they was back in the game...and my login credentials still gtg. :blessed:

And yall cannot seriously be this paraniod about using torrent sites in 2013. :what:

It's not illegal to download it's illegal to upload and distribute. Everybody and their mommas know about Piratebay. Kill yoself if you fear the feds coming after regular ass nikkas for just downloading shyt.
