For those of you who've seen NBA players play in HS, how good are they?

Didn't see any basketball players but I played against a lot of big time D1/ high round pick baseball players from these big time camps we'd get invited too. And there's a big difference in talent between them and us. We were all decent/ good or we wouldn't have got the invite. But the way they made everything look so easy would have you like
:dwillhuh:....:wtf:

Saw Russell Westbrook play my against my school my freshman year in HS. RW was a senior. nikka dropped 40+ and was dunking all over the place. Dominated.

Also saw another dude....forgot his name but he got drafted by the Kings a few years back and plays in Europe now. Not surprised, because I wasn't impressed by him and thought one of our players was actually better. He wasn't dominant or anything.

Saw tons of hyped up prospects being out here in LA. A lot of them were pretty damn good in person but some of them never did crap when they got to college. Like Renardo Sidney

It depends on when they peak.

I coached a future NFL player when he was 14. (Well, he was on the team, but he played offense and I was defensive coordinator). He was a great athlete but none of us, literally none of us, had a clue that he was NFL bound. It wasn't until maybe his sophomore year that he really started making waves, eventually became a 4-star recruit. He was a VERY hard worker with a good head on his shoulders, and he eventually made it. But it was one of those "redshirt and then play four years of college, get drafted late round, then pay your dues in practice squads and you might make it" kind of situations, not like some of the automatic stars ya'all talking about.

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
I played w/ and against Cam Reddish, he'll be in the league. 3rd on ESPN 100 heading into his senior year now behind only Bagley(considered to be the best prospect in all of HS) and Zion
Cameron Reddish - Basketball Recruiting - Player Profiles - ESPN

He was a bit passive, but that's because we had two older guys on the team who both are playing D1 now and are good enough to start as freshman :ohlawd: team was stacked

Talent undeniable. I remember him dropping the easiest 30 on us I've ever seen in middle school before his growth spurt :whoo: then when I was with him in high school I was lookin at his potential like

6'7" and lowkey wants to be a PG. Smooth af, never misses a jumper in practice, got handles, vision, he's got it all :francis:

These kids are prodigies brehs :yeshrug:it's like being a virtuosic pianist with god given physical abilities to top it all off

Gerald Wallace - That dude in high school :wow: Man among boys
Most of the cats drafted from Birmingham in the past 20 years, I've seen them play in HS

Demarcus Cousins used to play basketball on my street. While most of the news articles about him speaks on Mobile, breh lived in Bridlewood Forest (east side Birmingham/Center Point) and went to Erwin. That lil big nikka :francis:.

Now somebody who I didn't see in person but always saw old VHS and heard about was Ennis Whatley (Enimo), who went to high school with my mom at Phillips. Old school on the north side still talk about Enimo.

I played against Johnny Flynn in high school. You could tell he was going to do his thing in school but I never thought #6 pick in the NBA draft.
Me and my teammate's were actually Paul Harris Stan's :francis: we thought he was the one. Just looked him up to see if he ever actually played in the league. Doesn't look like it but did have 3 stints with The Talk N Text Topeng Texters:scusthov:
