I work out. Hard. Then reward myself with some type of sweet treat and a nice drive. Now that it's getting warm outside I like to drive with my windows down and listen to fat jon's wave motion album.

100% agree with this. Working out and eating healthy does the trick.

Recovering from depression is similar to a drug addiction, in my opinion, in that it's a daily fight. You're always on the brink of relapsing. Don't take any day for granted.

Workout. Find a hobby. I started painting. It was relaxing and when you finished you feel accomplished.
Find something that you can accomplish and feel rewarded at the end

The best thing to do is surround yourself with positivity and get into things that inspire you. I try this.

That person has the support system and is into plenty of things trying to help others. Has the family around them and everything. If that isn't around 24/7 and there's periods in which the person is alone, there's nothing there but emptiness.

How do you deal with it? Does it come and go? Do you seek help from loved ones? Or you keep your issues to yourself?

This. Since I have no choice. Once my parents are privy to my problems they become intimately involved and end up worsening the problem.

I have a cousin who is also severely depressed but she's seeing a psychiatrist and is taking medication for it. I'm not a huge fan of the healthcare industry as you're seen more as a customer not a patient. I bet if my cousin took LSD or DMT or MDMA her depression would be cured overweight (though that's for another topic).
