This life is the life Allah tests us in. It's not nearly as good as heaven nor nearly as bad as the Hellfire.
The afterlife is forever. This life is only temporary and very short. When people die they will only think this life was a day or two, and then they will have no more opportunities to believe and do righteous deeds to be able to go to heaven. The chance to do good is in this life.

Islam is against ISIS. Islam is against terrorism. Islam is the life God has shown mankind if they want heaven in the Afterlife. You have The Truth (Islam) but will you be smart enough to act upon it (practice Islam)? That is the test from God. You will have no more chances in the afterlife. This life is your test from The Almighty God, Allah.

I remember a pastor explaining how heaven is exactly that. if u want your favorite meal, it appears. if u want a car u always dreamed of..its appears. u can have everything. sounds like a dream which i think death is, a long ass dream. So maybe he was right.
