With the extra power, lower settings, and extra optimization the Scorpio could play a game like doom at 4K.

The whole thing is kinda silly. And I'm glad I'm not too invested in console gaming.

I've got a ps4 that I stopped playing after I was done with Uncharted 4. My friends only play seem to Destiny and I'm not about that life.

I'm just glad Gears 4 is coming to PC.

Honestly, do you guys think these upgrade systems are even needed? I guess it doesn't matter because they're coming whether they're "needed" or not.

Its a premium system so yea its needed if you have the dough.

Would it be needed as a replacement for the core ps4, no.

The PS4 Pro is a miss, literally no reason to get it over the existing PS4

It's design is ugly as shyt, same as the slim PS4, whoever was the designer needs to get fired

Most $200-$250 and up GPUs can run games at native 4K 30fps. Benchmarks usually test maxed out settings which alot of times adds more processing for not alot of gain. If you tone down settings it's very doable but still not there completely.

Son the settings gotta be scaled back ALOT for any 200-250 dollar gpu to do 4K and a good framerate on modern games. I game on the PC and nikkas need to stop lying to themselves. That damn Scorpio ain't running no modern games maxed out at 4K natively. The performance would be shytty as fukk. U still need a sli or crossfire setup with some dope gpu's to be comfortable running 4k. My boy has 2 Titan X's in SLI and they still don't max out every game in 4K with 60fps.

Fam there's a difference between "can do" 4K vs being able to effectively run the shyt. Lol. I don't know why people keep falling for this shyt from both of these companies. They stay selling dreams and nikkas keep falling for it. If u dont remember. The consoles we have now was supposed to be "4K capable". The Xbox One even came with a 4K ready HDMI cable. Console could barely do 1080p. Essentially. Both the PS4 Pro and the Scorpio are gonna be 1080p 60fps machines. PS4 Pro is gonna have some upscaling techniques. I don't know what the Scorpio is gonna do but it's more powerful on paper no question . But I honestly think they would do better with the power of the system by making it its own console. And starting a new gen off fresh.
