Anyone with a brain would know that the numbers would have been underwhelming, but to call slightly under a mill a flop is pure lunacy, Mayweather signed to fight Guerrero like a month and a half before the fight, there was no 6 month build up like in his past fights, shyt he let didnt even do pressors he let The Ghost handle that. It aint about ppv sales and how much money showtime lost, thats not the game for Floyd anymore his money is guaranteed................

This is a showtime problem not a Floyd Problem they could have at least threw another name on the undercard with GB whole stable at their dispoal but they were greedy as fukk. This one of the silliest Floyd hate threads, showtime lost 12 mil, but Mayweather made about 45 million for the easy work but somehow yall trying to make this into a Floyd L and not a showtime L............................:bryan:

Koncz already confirmed that Pacs NOT under contract with HBO and that if they had to go to SHO for the fight, they could and would.

:leon:

Even with that being said though, I think making that fight now (or in the near future) is still a swift kick in the nuts (to me at least).

What's worse is what happens AFTER the Canelo fight? He has about 4 fights left, who is Floyd gonna fight to prevent Showtime from going bankrupt.

The only names to me that spark serious interest are:

Canelo rematch (if Floyd happens to lose)
Winner of the 140lb unofficial tourney
Adrien Broner

Other than that...:ld:

Nobody is being misled whatsoever unless people simply forgot how to read and or click a link to the actual source :youngsabo:
:heh: You people can never just admit to being wrong. That's caused by insecurity and low self esteem. Obviously your dumbass has forgotten how to read because the title is clearly not true. If you weren't a bytch you'd just change the title minus all the sassiness.

I wondered who was making all these posts in this thread that I agreed with and had to look up at the screen name, because you changed your avi.

It's my man @HamAndEgger with the factual and accurate posts as always:myman:

That's because NOBODY cares. To the average casual boxing fan, these guys Floyd is fighting are no-names.

Nobody is buying any PPV until, if ever, Floyd fights Pac.

I agree. Canelo will get a pop but when he beats him, fans will be uninterested again.

Honestly, I don't see why Floyd didnt just fight Pac when it was hot. What does he have to lose? Even if he lost the first match it sells a best of 3 and him and Manny both cake way more than they ever would without each other. :lawd:

Being undefeated is overrated in boxing. And I honestly think Floyd would have still been undefeated even if he fought Pac twice.

I seen Canelo fight. He's good but he aint ready. Fans seem to have bought into this hype that he can beat Mayweather. lol. Masses will buy the ppv and be disappointed as Floyd outboxes yet another opponent for 12 rounds.

Let's be honest 24/7 is better. Add to the fact that Guerrero is not a big time name in boxing. He would have been better facing Amir Khan as a return fight.

No doubt, that those numbers made him choose Canelo as his next fight.

Thats not bad considering he just bet half of that against a Miami Heat vs Pacers game 7.

Looks like HBO STILL taking a dump on Showtime ratings

Dan Rafael: According to Neilsen, Sat's @HBOboxing card had 1.024M viewers for Dawson-Stevenson & 947K for Gamboa-Perez, which crushed @SHOsports

Dan Rafael: Cards went head-to-head w/ @SHOsports drawing 594K for Maidana-Lopez main event, 471K for Lara-Angulo and 207K for Charlo-Hopkins

Showtime has stepped its boxing game up but it still comes on 2nd rate compared to HBO. It's like HBO is WWE and Showtime is TNA if you wanna use a pro wrestling analogy.
