I agree. my wife out here trying to get a new car, when her current car is a 2013. I'm like :wtf:

I'm driving in a 2005, and not even considering a new whip. not trying to throw that money out the window.
Get ya engine checked tho, old cars are less fuel efficient and you might be spending that money anyway if the engine's aging

I bought a brand new Santa Fe last year, pay about 4 bills a month financing

Honestly...its a fukking toy but we needed a car, i grew up poor driving beaters, me and my wife are comfortable...so i said fukk it...im a big man and i wanted a nice new spacious car

In 2 years im opening my own practice...gonna just switch ownership to the business name and claim it as an expense

:manny:
And that's dope for real. Take care of that baby and y'all will be good with it for a decade. Got any kids in elementary maybe by then that can be their learning/first car.

I feel like a lot of folks are just really shytty taking care of their vehicles. It's not hard to take care of a car as long as you actually take care of it

i agree, u shouldn't be getting an expensive car unless ur bballing like that. but from experience, i can assure u, if u buy a sh1tty car or a used car, u'll be in for a whole world of hurt. unexpected repairs, breakdowns, etc. these are incidents that rape people's account. at least with a new car, u dont have to worry about that.

i understand the point of the article, but trust, ur better off getting a brand new corolla, than buying a used car.

i think the article applies more to people who change cars every couple of years because they're bored. if u buy a car, u should be of the mindset, i'ma drive this for as long as i can possibly can. with that mindset, you'll be good.

That's not a lot of money. You have bigger problems if you can't afford that.
500 a month for a car payment is not small especially if ya by yourself. That's only a couple bills from my rent, living by myself. I wouldn't take that on personally. I'm not as well off as some folks here obviously, but I'm not struggling to make due

:ehh: It depends on who you are and what you get..if you buy new and drive it to the ground 15+ years then you got your moneys worth...if you keep switching up every 2-3 years just to stunt then youre the sucker eating all the depreciation and the next owner gets all the value.

There is nothing wrong with getting a used car. Old, used luxury, sure. Don't do that. Buy your ass a used Honda or Toyota from the past few years and you're usually Gucci tho. I worked with cars for a few years and I've seen and heard it all. nikkas gotta be proactive in learning about the specific whip they looking to purchase tho

nah i completely disagree. used cars are only great if u know the person who had it previously and can vouch that the person took the car to the dealership for whatever work/maintenance that needed to be done.

I enjoyed walking everywhere. Not to mention it made my legs cut as fukk. When I can, I still walk or take the bus.
