The move wasn't easy on anyone. Jordan, who'd fit in seamlessly at posh Marietta High, found himself suddenly in the peeling hallways of Samuel W. Wolfson High in southside Jacksonville. The hard boys stepped to him in the yard; he was mugged for his phone after school. He sulked through most of a year, flunked a statewide test and was dumped in remedial reading, of all places. His father didn't put up with it for a minute. "He'd be up late talking to girls, so I took away his cellphone, then his TV and Xbox, too. Then I took the door off his room. He'd say, 'But those are my things,' and I'd say, 'No, they're mine; the power they use, that's mine, too.'" Ron enrolled him in virtual after-school, making him work with an online tutor and standing over his shoulder till he'd finished.

By the start of his junior year, the message kicked in; Jordan's mood and grades picked up sharply. He made a pack of friends, aced the statewide tests and became the de facto mayor of the school. "Anything he wore, people would copy; he put a part in his hair, they copied that, too," says Aliyah Harris, his ex-girlfriend, 18, who's been accepted to Clark Atlanta and Florida Atlantic universities. She had as much to do with raising his game as any of the adults in his life. "I told him to get a job – I've got three of 'em myself – and start getting your head right for college. Second, pull your pants up; you're no type of gangsta, even if you listen to Rick Ross." They were Wolfson's power couple, though chaste in the way that church kids are, never finding alone time for sex. "Whether it was me or my wife, someone was always here when Aliyah drove him home from school," says Ron. "We love that girl, but we weren't having surprises. Her father felt the same way."

Fistful of jewels
Too be real the Jordan Davis case is being handle the way zimmerman case should have been handle, they charged him with murder, denied bail, did a drug test etc

The outrage for trayvon comes from how the police handled the case and pretty much said fukk it.

defendants dad isnt a former judge, thats why.

Well this case got swallowed by the Zimmerman case , I have been keeping up with it. Arm yourselves with legal heat and get off first.

I don't see this case being similar to Treyvon's case at all...well besides the fact that a young black teen got killed ( RIP )

1. This was at a gas station...not private property as was argued in the Zimmerman case.

2. The argument was with words, so there was no physical altercation, so their was no real threat to the guys life.

3. After he shot the car up, dude drove back to his hotel. After he heard about it on the news, he drove back to his house, where he was arrested.

4. No weapon was ever found in the vehicle, or anywhere else.

5. And this is the biggest reason why this thing is not going to really blow up in the media...the police...you know...arrested this guy as soon as they got his info and charged him with murder...and denied his bail...unlike zimmerman who was not arrested after the shooting.

To me, what this old ass cracka did is way more disturbing than what Zimmerman did...at least in Zimmerman case there is some proof that there was a real altercation...regardless of who fault it was it is highly likely that a real altercation took place that made Zimmerman fear for his life ( not saying i agree with any of that )....this shyt right here...this old ass cracka is not from that area...this old ass cracka shot that car up because he was furious that he told some young black kids to turn their music down and they told him no...this old ass cracka felt like since he was an old white man and they were some young black kids they should have just done what he said, and when they didn't he just shot up the vehicle...and then just drove the fukk off...found out the kid died...and then drove the fukk home...

Lol at them having a shotgun...come on dude you couldn't just make up a normal weapon... a 9 milli...a glock...they had a fukking shotgun...?
