I kept Hill, Hardaway and Stackhouse rookie cards as a kid hoping they would blow. I had a dope ass one of stackhouse with a hologram background....shyt never reached past $10 :francis:
We were destined to be screwed on card and comic book value. The mass releases of the 90s. I'm still not sure how cards are taking off now. Cause there's still a shyt ton of companies making em. They just don't seem as by the cash register over abundance

A little town called none ya got damn bidness
I remember around 1999 or 2000, their was a rumor that Grant Hill & Tim Duncan were sapossed to go to the Magic for like a Super Team, but it never Happened
If I remember right, The Magic wouldn't let Timmy D's ole lady fly with the team :snoop: :russ: they couldve had Duncan, Hill, & T-Mac :wow:

I dunno about no top 10-20 of all time shyt but, if healthy, him and TMac probably make the Finals in 2001 and lose to the Lakers. After that it would come down to roster construction as that Magic team was light; it's just that the east was so trash in the early 00s that they could probably 2-man combo most of those squads.

Still, he was mostly a 21/8/6 point forward at his peak (not a 30ppg big time/aggressive scorer) so the evolution of him and TMac would've been interesting, especially if Hill would've naturally fell into that Scottie Pippen role. And, again, what the rest of that roster would've been.

If he joins mac in 2000 and they both are healthy, they make the finals in 01, 02, 03, and 04.

They beat that awful 03 spurs team and they can beat that imploding 04 laker team

Motherfukkers had their nerve to be the most expensive.

All the select brands. Like we're not just Topps, fleer, score, we are those plus a name

And then Donruss was just like cards...
U bringing back nostalgic moments...man collecting shyt as a kid was a golden time. We used to go to Kmart and cop some POGS as well.

The only thing i like about upperdeck was their hologram logos on the cards. And i dunno if it was them or topps that had the painted portrait of cards.

Edit: it was the diamond kings by Donruss

Pretty sure 2 or 3 of the companies did the painted portraits.

Man I had so many of these overpriced shyts

thought they were going to be worth so much in the future. They are Leaf Studio Cards they got double images

:comeon:

according to this article they have some value but not game changing lol

And yes I'm sure I have a binder with all of these, but they won't be MINT enough to collect that money lol

The Great Green North
The sentiment around guys like Penny & Grant is interesting.

Will the Zion, Embiid & Ja types get the same treatment 10 years from now?

Nah. Unlike the stars of yesteryear, we know too much about them, and what we know is just too messy and childish for there to be long lasting reverence associated with them. Their antics overshadow the only thing we really need to know about them: their abilities as basketball players.

Older players seemed more mature. Of course this could have been a total facade since they didn't get a chance to overshare their personalities with the leaguewide fanbase, but it does add to the mystique surrounding them. A mystique that is far too removed with the current crop of hoopers.

Those Pistons horsepower teal shyts are so ugly they should never go away from the classic traditional look

Hate to see those glazed off nostalgia :scust:
The only fans I see that like them shyts are nikkas that were actual kids when they debuted and that was the jersey when they discovered the team. No fan 35 and up likes them shyts. Only good thing to come out of that design was Hooper the mascot. Ugly ass colors :hhh:
