I don’t like the fact that she’s suing instead of bringing charges against him
But If she has the evidence then
They tend to settle when you sue or the accused gets reassigned or the fam gets blackballed in many cases, not necessarily something that actually is handled effectively in a court of law. If the accused has more powerful lawyers/more money than you you and your family will be drained financially and emotionally going through the process itself. At least she can stand to hope for financial recompense than relying on a flawed justice system when it comes to instances of child harm.
