I felt the same way intially, I know what you mean cause I played football and basketball every year from 5th grade to 12th grade. My senior year was the first year I didn't play football and only basketball so that was a shock. But my senior year is when I actually found other interest like the Debate team, Chess, College credit courses and actually thought about something outside of sports/girls. it was kind of refreshing.

I went to college and walked on to the basketball team and made it, actually played a little but I tore my achilles that season and that was basically it for the kid. I was cool though cause I still worked out, I still hooped in different small leagues but most importantly I cultivated alot of other things I missed out on in High School because I so focused on sports. Life goes on bruh, Sports helped me develop that determination, help me work well with others (teammates), and helped me strive to be best which has served me well in the working world.

Take your experiences from sports and apply them to other aspects of your life..

HS sports is not that big of a deal breh.

It is if you are a player, a student, a parent, a community person that is a sports fanatic, a coach, a teacher......

My sport career ended in 10th grade...didn't even make it to varsity...runningback, first game of the year ran 3 TDs on our crosstown rival, by the 2nd game 2 TDs with school in next county over, by 3rd game I was being helped off the field never to play another game the way I had previously..... :sadbron:

Having flashbacks......:damn:......runs out the thread................

If you had a decent career you can play somewhere-- When i was in high school i had all kinds of letters but come signing time all I had was a scholarship to the JuCo, Alcorn State univ(scust), and a partial to Texas Southern- I said fukk it and never played again

I wish i did

Did you start? Did you play? Keep that sh1t goin if you REALLY want to play football you gone play SOMEWHERE.....If you got that drive, a lil size and can make some plays. I knew cats who was damn near in they late 20's who couldn't let that sh1t go....walk on, semi pro, dudes who stopped playin and still had eligibility left.

Its a trip how long some cats chase that NFL dream. Do that sh1t now bruh, don't wait and fvck around. Don't rely on your coaches to get you where you tryna go if you ain't highly recruited. Get ya game film together, shop that sh1t out, so many muthafvckin colleges out there bruh to play ball, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU REALLY WANNA DO.

Lmao I can just imagine this fruitcake running around the football field and grabbing dudes' asses on some "teeehee yoou can't catch me" shyt. :wrist:

You don't know me personally so making up lies about me is useless. I feel like a celebrity. I have losers like you making aliases for the sake of quoting me. Get on your real account alias.

because i already knew I wasnt going to school for sports but for an education it was real easy, I actually quit playing baseball halfway through my senior year on varsity cause it was wasting time and I could be focusing on other things towards going to college

That's cause you came up with electronics, and video games, and social networking and all these OTHER THINGS that reduced the importance of sports........

Sports was IT when I was in high school....not to say there weren't plenty of other things to do............but there are so many more distractions for kids right now.......I can understand why it might not seem that way...

:to:

how u feel now tho.. you still got pains and shyt?

It actually wasn't too bad at first, I went through with rehab and got back to playing and it was bad as far as pain goes. I still don't feel 100% comfortable taking off with my left foot for right hand layups, so I finish more with my left and go left alot more than I use to

It gets stiff when its cold so I just have to remember to stretch each morning and shyt.

Its not a career ender but I can see why cats in the pros who tear their achilles aren't ever really the same. I'm just as fast but the quickness and explosiveness isn't the same.
