In a blue state, against him. Trump is very unpopular in Maryland. Republicans running dare not say his name.

You got GOP state delegate candidates calling themselves "Larry Hogan Republican" on their signs :russ:
Larry Hogan's latest ads are from "Democrats for Hogan" and are designed to paint Hogan as somewhat progressive, and as an ally to Black people.
That's one of the oldest tricks in the book. Don't fall for the hustle, MD brehs & brehettes. If I lived in Maryland, I'd vote for Ben Jealous; I hope that you will, too.

I'm seeing a rack of Hogan ads on TV (I'm in DC). The radio stations have been pushing Jealous though a little bit (s/o Kathy Hughes reality radio)
I've seen a few Ben Jealous ads on channel 4. Channel 5 news (probably the most popular morning news for Blacks in the DMV) has been running mostly Hogan ads.

Day 1 early numbers @mastermind @tru_m.a.c @NY's #1 Draft Pick @Serious @THE MACHINE

Dems 55k to Rs 23k! That would take a wholeeee lot of Dems for Hogan to overcome that ratio if turnout is high :lupe:

And if a lot of Dems are voting for Hogan its gonna be CLOSE if #s will be like this. Keep knocking doors brehs and spread the message

@FAH1223 Yo after looking at these midterm 2014 numbers, it's clear as fukk why the polls keep trashing Ben's outlook.

Bro there are only 1million republicans in the state, but Hogan received 884k votes to Brown 818k. There is no way in hell you're going to convince me that Republican turnout was 80%.

Secondly and what I'd be afraid of if I were Hogan, is that Trump received 873k votes. He actually got LESS votes AFTER a growth in the maryland electorate 2 years later.

Which again means that there are hundreds of thousands of democrats who sabotaged Brown at the booth and are fair weather voters. But it also means that with Hillary securing 1.4mil votes and Obama securing 1.6mil there is always room for a Dem to capture more voters.

The question still remains, who are unaffiliated voters going to break towards, and how many Democrats are going to stay home. If 50% of democrats show up to the polls and vote straight ticket YOU SHOULD NET 1.1million out the gate.

I just met with a couple of my clients who live in PG county (yes, they're Black). As small talk, I turned the conversation to politics. The husband said that he is voting Hogan, and wasn't willing to give Jealous a chance.
I hit that joker with the :gucci: followed by the :what: and then the .

I went to Sports and Learning complex in Landover for my daughter's gymnastics yesterday. Lines were crazy long.

Couldn't tell what the consensus was

Lol which is crazy because Hogan stripped them of school funding

But then again, you know once folks get a little money they turn their nose up to public schools :mjpls:

Why do we need to raise money for THOSE schools :mjpls:

shyt was funny reading the ballot initiatives. Statewide initiative #1 was about ensuring that none of the casino/gambling money gets diverted away from school funding and used for OTHER state initiatives.

I'm like :jbhmm:, so y'all care about schools but you're not going to vote for the guy supported by teachers?

I think you nailed it breh and talking to the Jealous people its why they're so confident. I guess we'll see.

Like you said, if just half of the Dems vote straight vote Gov, that gets you to the amount O'Malley won with in 2010. And no GOP nominee has ever won with more than what Hogan got in 2014

Exactly!
Under Hogan/Repubs, Maryland school spending averaged $10K/student. Conversely, Maryland prison spending averaged $40K/inmate. That statistic should really bother MD voters, especially those voters with children.
