Have to accept that there are a lot of stupid people roaming the streets. Not stupid as in they make occasional bad decisions, but that they have a lower brain function than the average human. Most people would of at least been straight with that money, so no sympathy especially with the criminality as well.

Dude was wild arrogant and ignorant from his Higschool days. His tenure in the NBA didn't humble enough to him realize that he gotta manage whatever money he was able to earn playing in the league to make it work for the rest of his life. You in the league for 10 years and didn't manage to make important relationships in order to leverage that into opportunities post playing career. That's why you can't be kicking people down when on top because you're eventually gonna fall and you want that fall to have a soft landing.
