Alright, I'm juat going to say it.

The one thing with these cases that always irks me is: when discussing how the officer should be charged in the unlawful death of a black man or woman...the focus of the case is not on the officer's actions and how they were wrong and unlawful, it's almost always about the victim of the case and how much they deserved to die cause they didn't do X, Y, and Z. And why they deserved to die. Even though the officer has a gun, they always look to make the person without a gun seem more threatening and dangerous than the man with a gun.

Nah that's not what happened though. He was patrolling the PJs and opened a door with the same hand he had his gun in.

Somehow he pulled the trigger and the bullet ricocheted off the wall and struck Gurley in the chest. I don't think he ever saw him because the stairwell was unlit.
