most restaurants that are "trendy" with black folks, especially ones that are built up around a singular item/theme i.e. turkey legs, loaded potato, egg rolls, brunch etc, are being ran by people who are most likely trying to take advantage of a "trend" where they can make some quick money. they don't have a true passion for the culinary arts, otherwise there would be wider breadth and depth to their offerings. and many of them are not true business people either. a lot of these owners are just straight up scammers or have scamming tendencies.

Yea that’s one thing I agreed with him about. The women were coming in there like it was a club in the middle of the day. I mean titties and ass everywhere to the point it started looking like a strip club. Families and young kids were there too and shyt was getting out of hand.

I have a weird story about dude.
I remember in '22 I took a quick travel assignment in Houston. I was working @Baylor St Lukes. My coworkers were telling me about the hype of the turkey leg hut so before my shift one day I decided to go. I didn't know who the owner was so I'm standing in line to order, and I see this big burly light skin dude sitting in camo fatigues on the outside patio smoking a hookah, I figured he was security.
Didn't really pay it no mind, once I ordered they had customers standing outside under a small tent waiting to pick up their order, it was also raining that day. One dude standing with us started going off saying he paid "x" amount of money, and he wasn't standing under no tint and he want his food right now, yelling and cursing.
Two minutes later I seen that same dude in camo grab that customer by the neck throw him against the wall and literally drag him outside to the tent. The customer was mad but didn't take his ass back inside.
I get to the car, telling my girl about the security guard who yoked up the customer and she was like Babe, that's Lynn the OWNER"..
She went to IG to show me the pics and I was like damn. I said to myself that dude was krazy as hell and wonder how long the business would last with him laying hands-on customers like that.
The wife scammed some chick for something like 6 figures before too and didn't pay it back.
