yeah i think i read they were initially leaning toward a castle doctrine defense, but because he left his residence and continued firing as the guys pulled off it wasn't going to work out

painting them as crash test dummies sent by a vindictive, lying blockhead who tried to escalate matters at every opportunity is what the defense is now lol.... i can't see it not working out tbh
