But isnt downside guarantee stuff for the talent isnt being booked in a story but still employed by the company? That way it still guarentees them income.
By her using the phrase "non compete" that means she no longer employed. Non competes usually mean you no longer employed by the company and that is their way of making sure they dont jump ship to a competitor immediately. This why ppl in the comments saying non competes are usually only 60-90 days. Maybe she used the wrong word or WWE just on bullshyt

I am guessing that she had time left on her deal and they let her go on the condition that she didnt go to another wrestling company for the remainder of the time she had left on her deal.
