Any thoughts. Agree disagree on his experiences with the switch over?

He seems to feel PS4 is faster and more streamlined as far as the UI. I frequently hear XBox One touted as having a superior UI. Honestly I haven't checked the One UI out beyond store kiosks. What yall think?

Having both, I agree with the first point. it feels snappier to me and being a bit on the pragmatic side, I enjoy how streamlined it is. Xbox one UI is definitely more robust tho, live tiles, pinning favorites, snap etc.

Funny enough I've expressed the same thing about how slow and clunky the Xbox one interface is but fanboys would claim I'm lying. The xb1 interface is attractive but SLOW. It was a nightmare inviting people to play games when I was on it. Xb1 runs lIke windows 8 with 768MB ram and a virus infection.

The controller is another thing.. adapter sold separatly??? Come on.

CONVOLUTED is the perfect word to describe the Xbox interface as of now. Pretty but lots of baggage. Until they find a way to fix it, I'll prefer the quick and streamlined PS4 UI.

Breh I've been gaming for nearly 20 years. I owned an Xbox 360 from 2006 to 2012, and the Xbox One UI STILL confused the shyt out of me lol. I should not have trouble finding the "Settings" menu on a god damn console. Had to Google search that shyt.

Hopefully that big Xbox One Update coming this Fall is dope. Just in time for Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5.

i don't like the xbox 1's current ui, but that new fall update ui looks can't wait for that shyt to drop.

I havent gotten a 1 yet but all i remember was last gen all the xbots swearing up and down how great the 360 UI was.

Then when i got a 360 the ui was dogshyt. Confusing,cluttered with ads,looked like a 5 year old with ADD designed it. Worst UI ive ever used in gaming.


The 1 UI seems to be designed around kinect and now the majority of its users dont have kinect since nobody wanted a kinect. Talk about a clusterfukk.

Both have their pros n cons. I've had the X1 for a year now, picked up the ps4 2 days ago. The ps4 is more streamlined and its easier to find shyt. The downside is it stutters like crazy and its uninspiring to the eye.

The x1 on the otherhand is much smoother, prettier and gives off the feel of it being next gen whereas the ps4 looks like an old console.

Overall i prefer the x1s interface

I never understood the hate PS4 UI got.

It's basic and easy to navigate. Only thing I want to see is them allowing you to delete saved videos from the upload screen opposed to having to go into the Storage Settings to do that

I can't speak on XB1 but PS4 UI made me hate using my PS3 because it felt so damn slow and clunky by comparison.

Xbox UI is slower because there is more shyt to it and the shyt is just slow as well. The new update is fixing that completely with Windows 10. PS4 interface I don't like at and it is bland with that being said that shyt better be fast.

I liked ps3 ui the best. I miss that barebones feel.
