Nah man, you have to do so much thumbstick directing and then navigating menu option after menu option to do anything. You can even turn off your controller much easier on the Xbox one.

Your Xbox party will be snapped to your screen.
Note Pressing
B will take you out of the Party app, either to a full screen or your previously snapped app, and the Party app will remain active.
