The dialog and origin story aren’t “good” but that holds true for lots (most) games.
There’s always bias in reviews. This time it didn’t go your way. It’s nice that you guys won’t be stanning review scores anymore

There's far worse dialog out there. So far from what I've heard, the dialog in the game is on par with a decent B movie.

Breh where tf in nyc do people talk like that, I grew up in brooklyn and lived in queens, fukk the slang her dialect is totally wrong, and the actual jokes are uninspired it's not witty or ironic. I'm beginning to notice a type of willful ignorance from certain Black gamers when talking about Forspoken even my friends irl, being prematurely defensive about dialogue that just isn't very good.
Austin Walker (Black games writer) made a blog post about this calling it 'post-cringe', I thought this bit was relevant.

And she's not going to be authentic to NYC cause I'm pretty sure half the writing team is from the UK, but she still pulls off the whole "modern woman" archetype well from all these clips.
Again, I haven't played the game, so idk if it's different in the actual game. But it's definitely not Saints Row 2022 type of corny from what I'm seeing.
