Forum idea: Split this place into 3 sections or keep it as it is?

As am I. I really wanted JBO to be that section for all the troll and fukkery type shyt. Thing is, I don't want to compromise the laid back environment just for the sake of one section. Plus with TLR, since so many different topics go in there it's pretty much do or die so if it don't float it sinks. That can sink a lot of genuinely good threads in place of the same ones by the same cliques. I think that's one of the bigger issues with this place, we're attempting to add so many different things in here and ask for mods to somehow keep all of that civil. Maybe mods should focus on sending those certain threads into JBO, just get rid of Race Track and let it be a part of the greater JBO? Only reason why I never considered this is cuz I felt like between the porn and weirdo shyt, race baiting and extreme trolling would make it just as crammed as TLR is now.

lol, if it were me I'd let the trolls suicide themselves every time. If them and all their trollish shyt is locked away they may just enjoy having their own hellhole to do stuff. But the only way a new sub-forum or two would work is if they are directly next to the popular ones. I think the culture has to be created, like how JBO culture on here became porn and weird/extremely random threads. Like if you had Gen discuss/tlr2.0/race track(troll section) that way at least you see them right away as oppose to having to scroll down.

I thought JBO was after 50 posts, then again I never had that issue. You think its not enough female representation for their own sub forum or that it simply wouldn't catch on?

im against adding another main forum in general just for appearances purposes. all the main forums fit nicely on the screen at once and the simplicity of the layout has been an attraction of the forum since the beginning. breaking that up to cater to trolls just doesnt seem worth it i think we're a long way from jbo being crammed too. it doesnt even have 400k posts and tlr is at almost 1.8 million

we had a large influx of females for awhile ( morethan1 ) when we first thought about it. eventually decided that it would invite too much controversy. we get accused of protecting women as it is now and one of the major complaints of sohh was shyt like that.

I agree, I think that's what keeps the usual shyt going.

To me it all depends on what you want out of this place. If you want there to be a co-ed section with more quality posting, then it seems the only solution is to at least add one more section to move one portion of the excess stuff, and utilize RT or JBO more for the other stuff. If you think its fine as is and goes with the cycles then yall just gotta wait until the upswing, if it comes.

Second, I think some threads get moved to the Race Track that shouldn't be. Just straight up locking some of those "problem" threads would have done the same thing.

I was talking about some of these things in our mod forum earlier today. I'm disappointed in how JBO turned out on here. I guess being lax on rules basically turned TLR into a hybdrid of jbo/the old trl.

I'd be hesitant to add forums when the ones we've added in the past didnt get used for what they were designed for. We thought about adding a ladies forum at one point but eventually decided against it. Also, we've tried locking trolls in JBO before, usually they cant handle it and end up suiciding their account via the tranny pic meltdown route.

I don't think JBO being closed unless your logged in has a huge effect on the amount of posts that happen in there. Its not like letting guests see it is going to increase the post count. It gets unlocked after like 10 posts so its not like some giant secret that cant be found

Real talk...Half the bullshyt that gets posted in this forum should be in JBO or The Bushes. nikkas need to start getting banned for bullshyt too. Quality control.

I can agree with that, it is an attractive quality of place. Perhaps then it's just time for mods to utilize JBO more which is just as good of an idea if the space permits like you say.

As for the female aspect, I think controversy aside its a good idea. If not their own outright forum, at least a sub forum within this place next to The Gym and show room. I think that'll help ease up the extra shyt and honestly speaking a lot of the guys usually chase chicks off cuz of the **** shyt so I'd think at least if they had their own spot pertaining to them the simp shyt can go somewhere too. Likewise if people got shyt to say, cards to pull, they can go to JBO and do it. That way nobody needs to be silenced, why shouldn't @Kind Gentleman or @StarClout be able to speak on shyt? If a poster says shyt people take offense to then whatever, but all people should be afforded to speak if we're gonna keep this place like we have right?

You know me breh, banning and mass modding is that shyt I don't like. I don't think it hurts for us to think of reasonable and creative solutions for all these issues. You're right tho, JBO needs to be utilized more.

didn't fukk up by protecting women, it fukked up by letting women run wild, play favorites and fukk with people under the auspice of "moderating/administrating". Here now we have a lot of weirdos who dont know how to act around broads so they harass and chase em off. A women only subforum would bring more women to all sections of the forum but let the ones who dont want to deal with the weirdos have a rest haven

I think that room should be kept separate from the "relationships" subforum tho, let them MRA trolls have their own rubber room

my trolling aside user experience takes a hit when there is more navigation involved. i have these discussions all the time irl...the old tapatalk is a perfect example and a lot of other apps suffer from it...

True, @bk made a good point about this place fitting neatly as is.

So maybe instead of 3 separate sections, make JBO the troll/fukkery spot, create a sub forums where ladies can go and all the excessive simping, relationships, women/men bytchin threads can go there too. So if a chick already clicks on this section, then sees a Ladies Room section where all the pertinent topics dealing with them are at they'll be inclined to bring traffic to that section too. That way this section eases that traffic without needed to create too much extra navigating and just becomes a middle ground for everyone to talk.

Here's the thing. I brought this idea, but I ain't seen no ideas from people against this idea so I'd love for one of them to suggest something or just simply say the place is fine as it is.

Maybe split it half half. Gender Wars depending on quality either can stay here or go to JBO if its not quality or hasn't caught on like that. Relationship threads prolly should prolly be in the Ladies Room since those are discussions both side should have with each other. I mean, its a lot of ways we can go about this. We can't underrate how Race Track helped TLR.

But that's my biggest issue, a lot of females that aint need to get chased off were chased off. Give them a place where they can chill and simps can worship them and mods would prolly do a lot less policing.

JBO is a complete joke. Nothing but porn addicts and sex offender type personalities. I know I may go over the top at times but i've never been a woman basher. No matter what lies have been thrown on me, i've always been against the guys who think that females shouldn't post here. The women add their own unique attributes here. The only thing i'm guilty of is telling non-black people to stop tossing the n-word around, telling them to stop making a mockery of black people and pulling hoe cards....

lmao, I suppose you're right but it'd be hard to keep simps out of there especially if the women don't mind it. I know what you mean tho, but on top of that let females mods that section too so they can decide how to go about things in their forum.

Not to say everyone is the frog, but what wouldn't stop some guy from making his way into the girls section through the alias? I think guys should be allowed in the ladies section, but under their terms so there's respect. Likewise, in other sections of the forum they are treated as equally as anyone else meaning no special treatment or coddling by mods. There's an ignore button and a sub forum, so no need for mods and admins to have to step into shyt.
