Turn 10 says they updated the game based on how people were playing. I think it'd be pretty shytty of them to (1) lie about this and (2) change how a game works based on the reactions of people that have a low likelihood of owning the game.Yes I do.
Most people who have the game will tell you that the economy was not broken in any way. The more expensive cars were expensive as they should be, but there was never a pay wall or a point where you needed to pay money to advance.
1. That's a very vague distinction "based on how people were playing". What does that even mean? The only thing people could be doing is playing more/less or buying more/less cars. Either way, that does not mean the economy was "broken"Turn 10 says they updated the game based on how people were playing. 1. I don't know but either they're telling the truth and it has nothing to do with complaints from people that don't play the game or they're lying.1. 2. This happens all the time with a lot of games. The vocal minority gets all the attention.
1. I don't know but either they're telling the truth and it has nothing to do with complaints from people that don't play the game or they're lying.
2. I can't think of any examples where people that don't own a game significantly influence the direction of a game that's already out. Certainly potential buyers influence a game prior to release but non-owners after release?
1. It doesn't have to be a lie. But it doesn't have to be the ONLY reason either. Saying "we changed it cause people on neogaf were upset" would not make for a good press release.
2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of any console game that has made significant changes to its economy or the way the game works, after release.
Dan greenwalt is a passionate dude, and I believe him when he said that he was disapointed with himself after reading some of the stuff on the Internet about the game. He changed the game due to negative press. And the majority of that negativity on the Internet is coming from people who don't/will never own the game.
So this update was a kneejerk reaction?? You think Turn 10 don't know their own game? You're basically telling me that Turn 10 is incompetent and weren't able to discern "concern trolls" and legitimate owners/players of Forza 5??So I guess xbots were right and there was nothing wrong with the original economy which is why Turn 10 decided to FIX IT![]()

No need to worry, Forza 5 will never come on the PS4 so you won't have to worry about Turn 10's incompetent games anytime soon. Feel free to move along now...

Good thing we have other games. Why is there no need to discern though?? You said yourself this update is reactionary due to "concern trolls" and "Sony stans" so you saying there's no need to discern trolls and fans alike sounds like your simply acquiescing Turn 10's decision.Meachthemonster said:In trying to stop negative publicity, there is no need to discerns concern trolls from legit players.
The only way to stop the negativity is to remove what people are complaining about regardless of where those complaints come from.

As for removing the thing that people are complaining about, most of the complaints stem from a clear LACK of content.
As Dan greenwalt said, when it comes to PR perception=reality
The changes were made to change the perception.
Different topic entirely, and a valid criticism. I look forward to more content especially new tracks.
