I've been playing early access for the last few days and it's pretty good. I'm coming from Project Cars and Dirty Rally on PC, so the graphics in forza aren't fukking with those. The helmet cam in Project Cars adds a level of immersion I've never felt in forza and I'm missing that feeling. The night racing isn't that great because so far visibility hasn't been a challenge. The rain is really dope but it seems like it's just heavy rain with no variation, but the puddles are a nice addition. The car selection is excellent but most of the lesser powerful cars I don't really care about. The career mode is blah because it's the same ole start at the bottom and place top 3 to advance. You also don't seem to be able to pick night or rain for most courses. Overall, I'd give it like a 7.5 and I'm not sure I'll leave project cars on PC for it.

Looks like night & rain is only for a few courses.

Kind of disappointed but fukk it, still the best racing sim out there for consoles.

I am kind of tired of the same career mode over and over again. It feels like you just get on a car, race around a few laps and placed 3rd and higher to repeated the process all over again. I want qualifying and practice like on PC.

Xbox One Exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 Barely Missed the Top 20 in Japan; it Sold About 4,000 Copies
The Forza Motorsportseries used to have a solid following in Japan back in the time of the Xbox 360. After all, Japanese gamers are serious petrolheads and love their racing games. Moreover, the paint shop feature of the series has always been rather popular between local creatives.

Forza Motorsport 2 had a mild start with 14,775 units sold in its first week. Forza Motorsport 3 was the peak, with 31,202 copies sold at its debut, followed by Forza Motorsport 4 with24,854.

Forza Motorport 5 was a launch title, and there really weren’t many Xbox Ones in the country at that time, causing a slow launch week with only 6,093 copies sold, but it still managed to make the Media Create top 20.

When last week’s Media Create top 20 chart was released, Forza Motorsport 6 wasn’t there. The top 50 chart was delayed due to the Japanese silver week, that bunches a few holidays together, and it was released only today.

Thanks to it, we learn that Turn 10’s game only barely missed the top 20. It did, in fact, place in 21st place, just behind Mario Kart 8 for Wii U.

Mario Kart 8 sold 4,095 copies that week, and the numbers in that range of positions are always very close, which means that Forza Motorsport 6 debuted in Japan with about 4,000 copies, that is unfortunately the worst debut performance for the franchise since the Xbox 360 era.

That’s definitely a pity, considering that Forza 6 is a great game. It actually moved a few Xbox One units too, causing the console to sell 737 units in a week, which is a relative improvement compared to its usual 200 or so.

This is the second time in a few weeks than an Xbox One game gets just short of the Media Create top 20.Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for Xbox Onesuffered the same fate, even if Forza Motorsport 6sold roughly twice as many copies in its launch week.

What makes me quite sad, is that Japanese livery artists are among the best in the Forza franchise, and less sales mean less spiffy liveries for us all.

There’s still a chance, though. The Xbox One is going to have a temporary price drop starting today in Japan (it’s already October 1st here), and I honestly can’t think of many better titles to get with a new console.

Major accomplishment clap for them.

I think the graphics on Project Cars are terrible honestly. The worst out of all the racers.

I'm talking on PC with everything maxed at a resolution of 3440x1440. There's not much comparison to forza. I haven't seen project cars on ps4 or xbone
