Two crucial elements to Forza Horizon 2 that makes all other racing games obsolete
One, the music. The whole music festival angle has you feeling like you about to go to a rave club

Playground Games has once again enlisted the aid of BBC radio DJ Rob da Bank, founder of two major UK music festivals and a well-known proponent of new music.

“He’s curating the three main radio stations within the game,” explains Fulton. “There’s a cool dance electronic station, there’s a station which is much more indie rock, or alt rock depending on which side of the Atlantic you hail from, and then there’s a station which is all about really just living up to the world and the summer vibes that you have in Horizon; it’s all summery, dance-y pop which was really popular in the original Horizon.”

“And you know what? I think he’s gonna do a great job. He did a fantastic job last time… not just at picking classic songs, because anyone could do that. He identified a whole bunch of songs in our soundtrack that we’d never heard but which then broke either over the summer or even after the game launched.

“So we were listening to them thinking, ‘Yeah, that’s a cool tune’ and then suddenly, after the game had launched, one of those tracks, Apple picks it for an iPod commercial and bam, it’s huge.

“He picked a Porter Robinson track which played on the Press Start screen on the original game. It kinda became the unofficial anthem for Horizon. And, again, that was nothing when he sent it to us but over the summer it just became this massive, monster hit and you still hear it on radio today.”


For the other stations Playground has partnered with three key indie labels to bring their back catalogues and summer release schedules into the game. The team are not announcing the labels at this stage, although Fulton did confirm two are from London and the other is from Los Angeles.

“The goal here is to capture that new music vibe that you get at the best summer music festivals,” he says

For those of you who didn't realize this, the music in Forza Horizon was all real music that either was popular, just came out, or was about to release And they plan on doing that again with this game

The other megaton?

We touched on Drivatar and its impact in Horizon 2 yesterday, but Fulton explains some of the additional surprises that have come with the system.

“It’s the same system [from Forza Motorsport 5]; all you have to do in Forza Horizon 2 is train your Drivatar to drive in the open-world,” says Fulton. “It already knows exactly how you take corners, where you brake, how you pass other cars from Forza Motorsport 5, and you can continue to train it to do those things in Forza Horizon 2.”

“What it learns only in Forza Horizon 2, though, is when you leave the road, where you explore, the kind of places that you go. That’s an exciting new element to the Drivatar story.

“A super cool nuance of this, which is one of the organic things that just comes out of systems that are as complex as Drivatars, is that if your friend has found a secret collectible, or maybe even a Barn Find that you haven’t, sometimes you can just follow where he’s going. And because his Drivatar is driving where he has been, he can lead you to a collectible or a secret that you haven’t even found.

“So your friend is helping you, almost asynchronously, to play the game. It’s a system which just keeps on giving.”

You see bruh, Once driveclub hit the bushes. They didn't focus on improving the graphics
Only minor things were changed during that process.
The delay was because they had to revamp the entire online social features they was promoting so much
So sony gamers til this day talk up DriveClub as this social feature filled extravaganza!!!
