lol, OK.

So what's the story exactly? Something to do with union workers?
They stay losing. They tried to amend the constitution through referendum, failed. Then State Congress just passed a law preventing them from being able to collect dues from non-union members. They're the reason why the south became the new manufacturing base in the 2000s.

I support workers rights, and I'm for rewriting laws regarding the distribution of company profits, but I don't support greed be it from management or labor. Neither situation is sustainable. Unions don't fight for workers, they fight for unions.

he isn't a reporter. he's a "comedian" named steve crowder, a contributor to fox, and an all around douchebag who deserved the smackdown. fukk him. things are heating up, and this is just the beginning. conservatives want to push the limits? let's see how far they're willing to go.

this is one of the most concise and quick to the point ways to explain it. RTW effectivley kills unions due to not being able to collect dues from people who are in the unions. In other words i can be in the UAW, as all auto workers are, but can choose not to pay dues, in other words like dude said i get all the benefits they been paying for...for free.

Unions can do a lot of good when the work situation could be really shytty, or you have megalomaniac management. But on the day to day, its a really slippery situation. Because they hold up the dismissal of REALLY bad employees (teachers are some of the worst union offenders).

I do know that a wrongful termination suit is basically pointless without a union. If you are at will then you could sneeze wrong and get fired and there's not much legally you can do about it. and THAT is one way unions are good, they are supposed to speak on the behalf of the worker, provide legal counsel and be a liaison between the employee and the employer.
