Just because you call yourself something nice and fancy like "undocumented" or "dreamer" doesn't change that. In the case of DACA it's an unfortunate situation but that's not our problem. We should stop wasting time, take a thorough inventory and assess just how many of these "dreamers" there are, figure out who is contributing to a satisfactory degree through a vetting process, and allow those who qualify to stay but levy them with heavy fines for 15-20 years, then kick the rest out.
Fancy title?

DACA recipients are basically American citizens without documentation. They did not make their own choice to immigrate here and do not have any homeland other than US. You are arguing for deportation of 800,000 people to countries they have no connections with. There is even a bigger number of DREAMers, roughly 3.6 million people that came here before age of 18.

Levy with heavy fines for 20 years?

You think they are here just freeloading the whole time? They didn't pay taxes, work or contribute to society?

Vetting process?

I'm sure sure vetting process of who is making a 'satisfactory' contribution will be fair and balanced. Maybe then we can use that same vetting process to weed out legal immigrants who are not really making contributing to a satisfactory degree. Sure you may have become naturalized citizen but your Indian ass is not a doctor but a cab driver so  there's enough white Greeks and Italians in Queens who 'pass vetting process' to drive a cab.

I was born in Queens. And my parents Indian asses came here legally in the late 60's. My parents raised me speaking English, and they both knew English before they even got on a plane to come here. My father wasn't a cab driver, he worked odd jobs and in hotels and eventually saved up his own money to start his own business. My parents grew up eating off banana leaves bro, they seen real poverty, not this bullshyt you talking about....and they never had to break no laws to make it either. So nah there's no comparison.

Great argument with mj smilie but would you care to explain to me what they are? The 39 year old that got deported to Mexico after living in US for 30 years what is he?

I don't know your story nor do I give a fukk but you sure seem to be looking at everything through your parents life. The only reason I brought up "your Indian ass getting deported" is because the racist argument starts with illegal immigration and then blurs lines into immigration in general hence the complaints that majority of school children in Arizona are Hispanic. Do we know what percentage of those children are here illegally? No and it doesn't matter to their argument.

When when I say your Indian ass is driving a cab, I don't literally mean YOU. You need to look a little outside your life experience. Same way when your father gets bodyslammed because he looks muslim the fact that he came here legally and voted for Trump isn't going to matter (please write back explaing how your father doesn't look muslim and didn't vote for Trump :mjlol:)

What borders weren't established by war and conquest? You guys want to believe the white man invented these things. He didn't. He's just been successful at it over the course of recent history, but history is long in comparison to our relative experience, and as time goes on new victors and powers will emerge. We see that on here all the time, there are threads where these phony "moor" militants brag about how they once kept Europeans as slaves. So it's wrong when they do it to you, but when it's you doing it to them, it's all good. For every war ever waged you will find detractors and supporters. But for those us invested in the present, as well as the future, it isn't in our interest to dissolve our borders and skirt rule of law to appease some phony sense of morality. And I say it's phony because all of this logic you are operating on goes out the window when it comes to your immediate comfort and sensibilities. Assuming you live in America, if it were confirmed that the home you currently live in was taken from Native Americans at some point in time and you were given notice that you would have to vacate the premises immediately or share your living space with some stranger, you would fight it from happening with tooth and nail.

it's amazing how many outsiders have made their careers out of supporting Trump. You got people from UK, Canada..etc talking about American rights

He's basically the figurehead of a worldwide white nationalist movement. You shouldn't really be surprised.

The same people over there that supported Brexit and whatnot are the people who ride for Trump.

I really don't understand the illegal immigration debate. Either you believe in borders or you don't. Either you want to let people keep breaking the law or you don't. Which is it?

This. It really annoys me how the right have shifted this conversation to declare Democrats as advocates for open boarders, that, frankly, ignorant people buy into, and believe that's the debate. This is why Republicans win elections. It's because the public are ... for lack of a better word ... stupid, and don't understand the issue being raised.

The fact that your parents went through all that should make you sympathetic to people that go through the struggle to gain citizenship in this country but Na you sound like an alt right a$$hole. If I was Indian I’d look at your c00ndian ass like :scust:

How are they struggling to gain citizenship when they are just disregarding the process and skipping the line, cutting in front of those who really ARE struggling and patiently waiting for the chance to come here?

Y'all never have any arguments aside from calling people c00ns and alt-righters. Just be honest and say you support them breaking the law and that you don't believe in border integrity, let that be the starting point for debate.

Well let's see, you believe that people who come here illegally aren't breaking the law. The poster you quoted @nyknick even did his best newspeak rendition by saying it's not "illegal," just "unlawful," and that there's a difference....even though a cursory dictionary reference will show that they mean the same thing. You believe that the people who came here illegally and have been living here for years should just be allowed to stay. No fines, no punishment, no accountability....just "hey, thanks for coming and skipping the line, enjoy America!!"

So based off this, how are you not advocating for open boarders?

I'm sympathetic to the point where I think that those who have been here illegally, either by crossing the border, or by overstaying their visas, and have been here for years and are contributing to society should be allowed to stay, but their wages should be garnished for a set amount of time - somewhere in excess of 10-15 years. The rest should be sent back immediately. Why do we make fathers pay child support? Accountability, right? So what's the problem?
