if 24 hour news networks went away, people without high speed internet would be getting that one hour of news a night treatment.
i don't know any news source that can provide that service...i suppose they could dvr multiple nightly news shows...i digress.

The goal of a television program is to get as many eyes on it as possible...to do that you have to appeal to the lowest common denominator in all people which seems to be BREAKING NEWS! and two people with completely opposing positions yelling at each other. Both are pretty much opposite to the type of discourse that should take place in a Democracy.
I ain’t with the fukkery MSNBC/CNN or FOX bring. Fox obviously pisses me off because I hardcore disagree with them. CNN/MSNBC have the problem of trying to look ‘fair/centered’ , when they shouldn’t be at all. Above all else.....there’s is not 24 hours of cable news in a day! So what happens? You get stupid fukking ‘Breaking News’! Things on all three channels that are repeated 80 times a day etc etc fukk those ppl
